Who is behind Gold Coast Cabinets?
Gold Coast Cabinets is a custom cabinet shop in Lake Elsinore, California, owned and run by Michael Garcia. Michael has been in the cabinet business since 2008, grew up around the trade at E.B. Bradley, the Southern California hardware distributor where his father worked, and trained in cabinet design and CNC fabrication at an Orange County cabinet shop before opening Gold Coast Cabinets in 2024. Every project is designed in 3D, CNC-cut in the Lake Elsinore shop, and professionally installed.
Where it started
I was born in 1993. My father started at E.B. Bradley, a Southern California hardware distributor, in 1996, and by the time I was seven, I was coming to work with him — sorting invoices, learning products, and watching him build relationships with contractors and cabinet shops. By high school, I had my worker's permit and was deep in the logistics: ordering, pulling stock, packing shipments, understanding how hardware, hinges, slides, and laminates actually applied to real projects.
From hardware to cabinets
In 2008, I joined E.B. Bradley formally, working alongside my father. That curiosity and foundation stuck. I worked my way from the front desk to outside sales, calling on shops across the region. Eventually, I became operations manager for three flagship locations—and that's when I realized: understanding materials, hardware, and precision manufacturing is what separates custom work from catalog cabinets.
That was the spark.
Learning the craft
I apprenticed at a cabinet shop in Orange County, learning design, CNC fabrication, and the obsession to detail that separates real custom work from everything else. For me, it stopped being work and became a passion. The knowledge I'd gained from hardware, materials, and relationships finally found its place in building something real with my own hands.
Why Gold Coast Cabinets
In 2024, I started Gold Coast Cabinets on the foundation my father built—deep client relationships and respect for the craft.
We don't cut corners. We build them.
Every cabinet I build reflects that: precision, honesty, and the kind of work worth standing behind.
